Process for Education Verifications in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

As the COVID-19 crisis continues, we wanted to bring you up-to-speed on our processes for securing education verifications. While school districts across the nation are closed, we have still been able to receive verifications from many sources, as district staffs access records remotely.  While this might not be true for all districts, returns so far have been encouraging. As a result, Corporate Screening will continue to reach out to schools to secure verifications.

Here is a review of our process at this point:

  • We will be making about three (3) attempts per verification to try to obtain the verification.
  • If we do not receive a response after three attempts, we will close the instance, noting COVID-19 as the reason for the missed result. You will be charged for our attempts.
  • In the event we do receive a response after the initial attempts, we will update the original report, removing the COVID-19 notation and notify you of the update to the instance.

Over time, if it is determined more attempts are coming back without a result, we will further evaluate the situation and adjust this process.

Once the pandemic slows down and normal operations resume, we will reopen the missed instances with the COVID-19 notation and attempt to secure those verifications.

If you have questions about the search on a particular case, please contact the Case Manager on the case via Messaging in EASE.  For other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Support team.

On behalf of the Corporate Screening team, thank you again for your patience and flexibility.
