Release Notes, 8/2021

The following customer-facing updates are part of the 8/2021 release. Please note, you may need to clear your web browser’s cache to see select user interface updates.

Adjudication

The adjudication process gives you an opportunity to review background check results against your company standards to make an assessment on whether to hire the candidate. EASE now allows clients to designate your completed background checks into different categories—Approve or Review—to help you manage your program.  You can also add notes post-background check.  Adjudication information is viewable directly from the updated EASE dashboard.

More information and detailed instructions are available here.

Adverse Action Workflow Automatic Status Updates

Clients using the Adverse Action Workflow (AAW) tool have the additional option of starting Step 1 of the Adverse Action process within the adjudication feature.  For those clients using the AAW tool, case statuses will automatically update based on the AAW steps. More information and detailed instructions are available here.

.NET Coding Framework Upgrade

The coding framework for our platform has officially been upgraded to .NET (formerly .NET Core).  .NET is a free and open-source, managed computer software framework that provides various tools to build and refine software applications. The most up-to-date coding framework available, .NET is constantly updating and is specifically built for cloud hosting and the web. While a “back end” feature, this upgrade will improve software development capabilities and offer more agility in the development of features and enhancements to our background check software.
